Mission Statement

As a voluntary led and managed service, Athenry Cancer Care is dedicated to providing caring, holistic support to people whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis, in a welcoming, homely environment.

We aim to accompany each of our guests on their individual cancer journey, by providing a listening and counselling service combined with pampering and therapies that complement their medical treatment regimes. We facilitate guests to share with others “who have done the journey” should they so wish.

Partners / main carers have their own uncertain voyage and our support extends to them.

Our services, free of charge to all guests, are offered with fairness, respect and impartiality.

Our logo represents body, soul, heart and spirit with a candle of hope.

Physical, spiritual and emotional nurture is our gift to our guests.
